Biography

Dr. Joseph V. Pergolizzi, Jr is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, adjunct faculty member in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has completed his M.D. in Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine, America, and Clinical Research Fellowship from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Baltimore, M.D. He is also serving as member of editorial board and reviewer for number of journals. He is member of The American Chemical Society, AAAPNI, Hopkins Postdoctoral Association, Dr. Pergolizzi is a senior partner in the Naples Anesthesia and Pain Associates Group of Southwest Florida, and holds medical privileges at Physicians Day Surgery in Naples, Florida. He is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board for the Association of Chronic Pain Patients, Dr. Pergolizzi is a member of the board of directors and treasurer for the Coalition for Pain Education (COPE), co-founder and Director of Research at the International Pain Research and Treatment Foundation, and a member of the board of directors of the National Institute of Pain, and Always Healthcare.
