Biography

Dr. Adedeji Adeola is currently working Professor of Civil Engineering at University of Ilorin, Ilorin. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He is member of International Association of Engineers, Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria. He has published 51 research articles in journals as well as 13 conference proceeding. He supervised 13 MSc, 8 PhD students and 160 undergraduate students. His main area of research interest focuses on structural materials in wall element (RC and masonry of various materials, self compacting concrete (SCC), strawbale, sand-cerete with plastic fibre additives, earth/laterite for their strength and the effects of environmental degradation on their strength under various loads (gravity, wind, seismic and acid-rain penetration), the use of some of these materials in sustainable energy, solar energy application in ventilating rooms naturally. He is also serving as FET core Team on NLNG Research Facilities for supervision and monitoring of the project and participated in the Structural Analysis and Design of many residential buildings in Ilorin, Kwara State. He is editor in chief in Nigerian Journal of Technological Development (NJTD).
