Biography

Dr. Umar Kabiru Jega is currently working as Senior Lecturer at Department of Pure and Industrial Chemistry, Federal University Birnib Kebbi. He has completed his Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria. Previously he was appointed as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. His main area of research interest focuses on Organic Chemistry, Analytical Food Chemistry, and Environmental Chemistry. He is member of Chemical Society of Nigeria, and Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria. He has supervised 10 postgraduate students. He also served as University Exam Misconduct Committee, Senate Standing Committee on Exams at UDU Sokoto, and member University Registration Committee, FUBK. He has published 64 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author.
