Dr. Giorgio Vacchiano was born in 1980. He completed his Postdoc in Forest ecology at University of Torino, Italy under the supervision of Prof. Renzo Motta, MS in Forestry in 2003 and PhD in Forest Science in 2007. He is currently working at Department of Agricultural Forest and Food Sciences (DISAFA), University of Turin, Largo Braccini 2, Italy. His main research interests are forest simulation models, forest ecosystem services (carbon stock, biodiversity, hydrogeological protection) and natural disturbance regimes.
