Biography

Dr. Taib Iskandar Bin Mohamad is Senior Lecturer in Department of Mechanical & Materials Engineering, Associate Senior Fellow in Centre for Automotive Research, National University of Malaysia, and Assistant Professor and Lead Researcher in Yanbu Research Center, Royal Commission of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. He has completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Cranfield University, UK. His area of research interest focuses on Gaseous Direct Injection Engine-Natural Gas, Methane, Hydrogen, Low Temperature Engines-HCCI and RCCI, Combustion analysis in ICE-time/CA-resolved Pressure, Ignition delay, ROHR, Combustion Phasing etc, Visualization and quantification of Charge Formation, Ignition and Flame Propagation in ICE by PLIF and PIV, Fuel characterization and formulation, and Solar Thermal Engineering-Drying and Water Heating. Dr. Iskandar received honors includes excellent Educator Award, and Student-Industrial Participation Innovation Award from National University of Malaysia, Winner, 1stShell Eco Marathon Asia 2010, Gasoline Alternative Category, Best Paper from Malaysia, Small Engine Technology Conference 2009, from Japan Society of Automotive Engineers. He has published 3 books and book chapters, 21 research articles in journals, 18 paper presentations, and 42 conference papers contributed as author/co-author. He also completed 5 research articles as principal investigator. He has supervised 30 undergraduate projects, 7 Masters Students thesis and co-supervised 2 PhD thesis. He is also serving as reviewer for number of journals.
