Recently, 2 articles have been submitted for publication in journal. He had supervised over 148 undergraduate student and 25 postgraduate students. Currently, he is supervising 5 undergraduates and 9 graduate students (with 7 PhD students). Apart from supervising several post graduate in area of oceanography, he was also appointed as the external examiner for post graduate (PhD and M.SC) thesis from various universities. He was listed as an outstanding Scientist by Marquis Who’s Who and International Biographical Centre (IBC), Cambridge, England for the year of 2007. He gained experience in a fellowship programme in 1995 at Skidaway Institute of Oceanography under International Atomic Energy Agency. He also gained experience in a Japanese Scientific Promotion Society programme in 1994 at Department of Ocean Civil Engineering, Kagoshim aUniversity and Department of Geoscience, Hokkaido University. Other than various training abroad, he was also imparted various training in home. In home he followed many training including Geological, Coastal Processes, and Coastal Management and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) courses. He is actively involved in various committees at the University and outside the University. He also participated in other activities involving public services with several agencies outside the university (such as Vice President of ‘Badan Muafakat Maktab Rendah Sains Mara, Kuala Berang Terengganu’, member of Alumni Association of Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne U.S.A and give talks to the secondary school.
