Dr. Zoarder Faruque Ahmed is currently working as Professor of Fisheries Management in the Department of Fisheries Management, Faculty of Fisheries, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh, Bangladesh. He obtained his PhD in Fisheries Science from Kagoshima University, Japan. He has 20 years experience in Teaching, Research & Extension. His field of specialization is Fisheries Management and his area of interest includes Fish Population Dynamics and Stock Assessment. His research has focused on several issues “Population dynamics of tilapia stocks in kaptai lake and impact assessment of its introduction on the resident fish species” and “The livelihoods of the local people and population dynamics of hilsa shad Tenualosa ilisha and recommendation of stakeholders’ conflict resolved management regime in Bangladesh” funded by Ministry of Science and Information & Communication Technology, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. He supervised 1 Ph.D. and 55 Master’s students. He published 6 research articles in journal as author/co-author.
