Dr. U.S. Mahadeva Rao obtained his Master and Doctorate degree in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Madras, India. His special interest is on Herbal Medicine. Dr. Rao also did his Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (PGDMLT) from India. He has worked as Lecturer/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in various Institutions, affiliated to University of Madras in India from 1990 to 2009. Farther to his full time teaching career, he worked as Visiting Professor for 5 years at V.L Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology, Chennai (affiliated to National Paramedical Board, New Delhi, India) from 2000 to 2005. For his expertise he was attached with various reputed clinical labs at metropolitan city of Chennai for consultancy. He is a Life time Fellow of Indian Chemical Society (FICS). To his credential he has published 54+ research papers and conceptual review articles in peer reviewed international journals. Dr. Rao has organized, participated, presented and chaired in many national, international seminars and conferences. Dr. Rao has published 6 text books viz. Clinical Biochemistry, General Biochemistry, Basics of Molecular Phylogeny and Research Methodology, Monographs on Antidiabetic potential of Avocado and Solanum species versus cancer. He was associated with International Research Projects / Teaching in African continent (Ethiopia) from 2009-2011. Currently he is working as Professor of Biochemistry in Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia by holding many projects including FRGS, RACE, UniSZA Research Grant Projects. Added to his tribute, presently he is Editor in 5 international journals.
