Dr. Javed Intekhab is currently working as Lecturer at Department of Chemistry, Swami Vivekananda PG College, Powayan, Shahjahanpur and former Lecturer at Department of Chemistry, G. F. (P.G) College and Sacred Heart Degree College, Kanpur University, Sitapur India. He has completed his five year research experience in field of isolation of natural products at Natural Products Research Division, Post Graduate Department of Chemistry, G. F. College (Rohilkhand University), Shahjahanpur (U.P) India. He is Research guide in CMJ University, CMJ University Shillong. His research areas include isolation, purification, characterization and standardization of herbal drugs with the help of modern analytical technique viz., UV, IR, NMR, and Mass spectral analysis. He has completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Organic chemistry “Natural Product” Rohilkhand University. He has isolated thirty-two bioactive constituents from different plant extracts using various extraction and isolation methods. The objective was to isolate therapeutically important molecules like flavonoids, alkaloids (carbazole, quinolone, acridone), steroids, coumarins, fatty acid and hydrocarbon using Column Chromatography (CC), Thin layer Chromatography (TLC). The isolated compounds were chemically characterized using UV, IR, NMR and Mass spectral data analysis as well as by chemical means. He has published 16 articles in national and international peer reviewed journals. He has computer skills including, Microsoft office (Word), Chem.-draw etc software, Familiar with Windows XP and its major applications and vast knowledge of internet. He has presented many papers, oral presentations and abstracts in international conferences as well as written a chapter in book.
