Biography

Presently working as Head, Post Graduate Department of Zoology, Govt. Dungar College, Bikaner 334 001, Rajasthan, India, Meera Srivastava has got 30 years of Post-Graduate teaching and research in the field of Zoology, especially Haematology of sheep, camel, elephant and Entomology with special reference to finding new, potent and eco-friendly plant based formulations for the management of insect pests. Latter being relatively new field of research has attracted attention from far wide scientific community. Besides, in view of conserving biodiversity, work on insect diversity has also been taken up by the Laboratory.

While working in the field twenty scholars have been awarded M.Phil. and sixteen Ph.D degree under her supervision. Besides, one has submitted and three are presently working for their Ph.D. She has published more than 145 research papers in journals of national and international repute, and in the form of Conference abstracts and has represented 75 Conferences and visited United Kingdom, France, Scotland, Italy, Thailand, Dubai, Srilanka and Malaysia and Nepal. She is Fellow of The Entomological Society of India, N. Delhi, India, International Society of Science and Technology, Mumbai, India, Society for Applied Biotechnology, India and International Science Congress Association, India. She is Life Member of Indian National Science Congress, Calcutta, India, Entomological Research Association, New Delhi, India, Association for Advancement of Entomology, Trivandrum, India, Society of Biopesticide Sciences, Jalandhar, India, Annals of Entomology, Dehradun, India.
