Biography

Dr. Chandrashekhar Venkaraddi Magannavar is currently working as Associate Professor at Department of Pharmacology Hanagal Shri Kumreshwar College of Pharmacy Bagalkot. He obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India. His area of research related to various types of activity-guided Fractionations of the Natural Products and evolving Pharmacological activity including Molecular Level Studies by Interacting with Receptors, Neurotransmitters, Neuromodulators, Enzymes and DNA, etc. and their Commercial Exploitation, Scientific Validation of Medicinal Plants and Isolated Natural products for their Biological Activities as a Neuroprotective, Cardioprotective, Hepatoprotective, Anti Cancer, Antiarthertic, Anti-inflammatory and Anti-osteoporosis, Pharmacodynamic and Pharmacokinetic Drug-drug Interaction: In vivo studies, and Novel Pre-clinical Screening Models Development. In past he worked as Lecturer at Rural College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, Karnataka, and Lecturer and Assistant Professor at H. S. K College of Pharmacy, Bagalkot, Karnataka. He is professional member of many socities. He also received number of grants for his research work. He was received award for Dissertation work of M.Pharm was sponsored under project Program from KSCST, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. This project work was awarded as best work amongst the life science project of the year 1997-2000, and Best paper prizes for oral presentation at National level at National Level Student’s Symposium. He is also serving as reviewer of Pharmaceutical Biology (Taylor & Francis), Journal of Food Biochemistry (Taylor & Francis), Chinese Journal of Physiology, Natural Product Radiance (NISCAR), International Research Journal of Plant Science and African Journal of Biotechnology. He is member of editorial board in Pharmacological. He also undertaken 23 research projects, 6 ongoing, and completed 2 research projects. He has published 33 articles in national and international journals, 7 papers in international conferences, and 25 papers in national conferences and seminars contributed as author/co-author. He also attended many national international conferences/seminars/symposia.
