Biography

Dr. Rajashekhara Rao Bangady Killur holds a position of Lecturer at Department of Agriculture, PNG University of Technology, Lae, Papua New Guinea. He has completed his Ph.D. in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India. Previously he was appointed as Enumerator at Government of Karnataka University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India, Senior Agricultural Officer at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Dharmasthala, India, Visiting Scientist at International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Patancheru, Andhra Pradesh, India, Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at PNG University of Technology, Lae, Papua New Guinea. Dr. Rajashekhara received honors includes awarded Dhiru Morarji Memorial Award of Fertilizer Association of India, awarded the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore-Gold Medal for obtaining Highest Grade Point Average in the Doctoral degree, awarded with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) during the study period leading to MSc (Agri) degree in Soil Science. He has completed 6 research projects as principal investigator and 3 research projects as co-investigator and team member. He successfully supervised 12 Msc, M.Phil, and PG diploma students. He is also serving as Executive Editor of peer-reviewed journal Niugini Agrisaiens, technical editor for open access journals such as- International Journal of Agricultural Research and Asian Journal of Environmental Toxicology and reviewer for number of journals. He is member of management committee of the Analytical Services Laboratory, Department of Agriculture, Unitech and Chairman of the Examinations Committee, PNG University of Technology. He has published 26 research articles in journals, and 13 papers in seminar/ symposium/ conference/ workshops. He is professional member of International member of the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA), International Consortium for the Agricultural Systems Applications (ICASA), Honolulu, USA, and Association of Rice Research Workers (ARRW) based at Cuttack, Orissa, India.
