Biography

Dr. Wajid Waheed Bhat is currently working as Senior Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from same Institute. His main area of interest related to Plant and Soil Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, and Molecular Sciences. His area of expertise includes Molecular Biology, Genetic Transformation, Plant Tissue Culture, Metabolic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Real time PCR, Plant Secondary Metabolism, Biotechnology, Gene Cloning, and Systems Biology. He has published 10 research papers in journals as well as 8 presentations in national and international symposium as author/co-author. Dr. Wajid received honors includes Qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2011), Won institutional Best Paper Award for the year 2012, Qualified CSIR-UGC NET for Lectureship DEC-2009, and Won award for the Best Poster presentation at Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore (IISC) during 79th Annual meeting of the society of Biological Chemists (India-2011).
