Biography

Dr. Indranil Manna is currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Physiology, Midnapore College, Midnapore, West Bengal, India, Guest Faculty at DCNM, DDE, Vidyasagar University, Midnapore and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Department of Human Physiology, Vidyasager University, West Bengal. He has completed his Ph.D. in Human Physiology from same University. Previously he was appointed as Associate Professor at Janaki Medical College, Janakpur, Nepal, Guest Faculty at Department of Health Sciences, FIT, MRIU, Faridabad, Hariana, India, Junior Scientific Officer at Human Performance Laboratory, Sports Authority of India, New Delhi, India, and Guest Lecturer at Ramananda College, Bishnupur, West Bengal. His area of research interest focuses on energy, nutrition, training and performance, oxidative stress and free radical biology, endocrinology with special reference to reproduction and exercise, workspace evaluation, occupational health and productivity study. He was received Dr. Siddhartha Debnath Memorial Oration Award -2015 XXVIIth Annual Conference of the Physiological Society of India. He also participated in more than 17 research projects. He is life member of Physiological Society of India, Indian Society of Ergonomics, Indian Association of Sports Medicine, Indian Science Congress Association and The International Society of Exercise and Immunology, and Animal Ethical Committee of Midnapore College. He is also serving as member of editorial board and reviewer for number of journals. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Advances in Applied Physiology. Dr. Indranil has published 51 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author.
