Biography

Dr. U.M. Dhanalekshmi is currently working as Scientist Pool Officer at Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai, India. She has completed her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from University of Madras, Chennai, India. She has guided 12 students for their academic projects. Dr. Dhanalekshmi received honors includes Best Research Paper Award at the International Conference, Best Oral Presentation Award at the National Conference, and received fellowship in 2010 for outstanding contribution in the field of animal science. She is life member of Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Pharmacological Society, Society of Toxicology, Indian Pharmacy Graduate Association, Laboratory Animal Scientists Association, and Academy of Sciences. She is fellow of Academy of Sciences for Animal Welfare, and Junior Research Fellowship in 2008 & Senior Research Fellowship in 2009 by CSIR, Delhi. She has published 16 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author. She also presented 35 Research Papers in National & International Conferences.
