Biography

Dr. Basil Hamed is currently working as Vice Engineering Dean for Research & Graduate Studies Faculty of Engineering Islamic University of Gaza, Palestine. He has completed his Ph.D. Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM, USA and M.S Electrical Engineering at University of New Orleans, New Orleans, LA, USA. His area of research interest focuses on Dynamics and Adaptive Control Systems, Autonomous Mobile Robots & Manipulators, Shared-Control Systems, Fuzzy Logic Control (Mamdani & Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy), Renewable Energy (Solar & Wind), Mechatronics, Microcontroller and its application on Control Systems, Modulation & Simulation, Genetic Algorithms, FPGA applications, Optimal Control, and SCADA. He is Editor in Chief for Journal of Engineering Research and Technology (JERT), and member of Editorial Board & Technical Reviewer for many engineering international journals. He is member of ALPHA THETA A EPSILON Honor Society USA, National Engineering Honor Society, Robotics and Automation Society, National Honor Society, and Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineering) USA. He has published 3 books, 21 research articles in journals, and 7 conference papers contributed as author/co-author.
