Biography

I am professional horticulturist and researcher specialist in anatomical, chemical and physiological characteristics of horticultural crops and their relationship to collection, handling and storage, physiological and chemical changes that occur in fruits before and after harvest, completeness of growth and ripeness of fruits, types of quality and factors affecting them, fruit respiration and its importance, ethylene and its applications, the different methods of collecting, packaging, storing and handling the fruits and preparing horticultural crops for export and storage. I developed a practical experience of working with integrated horticultural production with special emphasize on fruit handling and quality and how to reduce losses of horticulture crops. As an expert consultant, I work with different governmental and private sector agricultural firms focusing on production of fruit and horticultural crops. I have experience in working international and regional development organizations and companies as a technical expert and capacity builder. I participated in constructing strategic plans for educational and governmental institutions.
