Dr. Christopher Oluwakunmi Akinbile is currently working as Associate Professor at Agricultural Engineering Department, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). He has completed his Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from same University. Previously he was appointed as Lecturer II, Agricultural & Food Engineering Department, University of Uyo, and Lecturer II, Lecturer I, and Senior Lecturer at Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). He supervised 4 Masters students, and 4 PhD students. Currently he is working on 5 research projects. He has published 35 research articles in journals, 4 monograph/technical report and 12 conference proceeding contributed as author/co-author. He also attended number of conference, workshops and seminars. Dr. Akinbile is a recipient of many national and international awards among which were: post-doctoral research fellowship funded by TWAS and tenable at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2009, a US$1,000 Travel Fellowship awarded by TWAS Regional Office for East and South-East Asia and the Pacific (TWAS-ROESEAP) to attend BioVisio.Nxt 2011 Community, Lyon France. Similarly, he was among the 100 World’s best researchers on climate change in a forum funded by Volkswagen foundation, Germany in November, 2010. He won his institution’s (FUTA) Vice-Chancellor’s award for Remarkable Achievement due to his outstanding contribution to the development of the University in November 2012. Administratively, he is chairman to many committees both in his department and faculty and recently concluded his tenure as the Associate Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Gender in Science and Technology (CEGIST), FUTA. In July 2012, he was elected by MOSAICQUE Ezine Magazine based in New Delhi, India as one of the Future World Young Leaders. He belongs to many professional bodies such as the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and The Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers, Technology Policy Studies Network Kenya (ATPS Fellow), and Nigerian Young Academy (NYA) for distinguish and outstanding young Nigerian scholars, an affiliate of the Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS).
