Biography

Dr. Tewodros Mulualem Beyene is currently working as Associate Researcher at Department of Root, Fruit and Vegetable crops research case team. He has completed his B.Sc in the field of Plant Production and Dry land Farming from Debub University, M.Sc in the field of Plant Breeding from Awassa University, and PhD in the field of Plant Breeding from Haramaya University, Ethiopia. He is a professional member of Crop Science Society of Ethiopia (CSSE) and Ethiopian Horticultural Science Society (EHSS). His Agriculture Research experience includes, worked as Junior Research Officer, Assistant Researcher and Associate Researcher in the field of Breeding of Horticultural crops. Dr. Tewodros Mulualem Beyene has also teaching experience of Lecturer at Haromaya University, and offers full course lecture on Pineapple production and management systems to new researchers from different research centers at Melkassa Agricultural Research Centre for the two years. He also played headship roles like Head at Horticultural Crops Department (Areka Research center), Committee member, Technical staff development and promotion, Core committee member, regional based research for development, DBARC, Horticultural crop research case team representative, JARC Horticultural Crop Research case team representative. He has participated in many training workshops. He also published 9 books, 51 articles in journals as author/co author and 3 articles in proceedings. He also acts as Advisor for Post-graduate students.
