Biography

Dr. Razak Wahab is currently working as Professor at Faculty of Agro Industry & Natural Resources, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), and Associate Professor at the School of International Tropical Forest in Wood Industry and Fiber Technology Programme, University Malaysia Sabah (UMS). He has completed his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London, United Kingdom. Previously he was appointed as Research Officer and Senior Research Officer in Forest Product Technology Division, FRIM, Deputy Dean of Research & Development at University Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Senate Member and Chief Editor of Science Field, University Publications Committee of the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). Dr. Razak has received 39 medals and certificates such as Gold Medal awarded at the 25th International Invention, Silver Medal awarded at the 26th International Invention, Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) in the research sector category, Silver Medal awarded at the Malaysia Technology Exhibition, and so on. He successfully completed 15 research projects as Project Leader. He has published 94 research articles in national and international journals as well as 50 proceeding contributed as author/co-author. He has supervised and supervising 12 PhD, 46 MSc and 88 BSc students.
