Biography

Dr. Normah Binti Awang is currently working as Associate Professor in Chemistry (Inorganic, Organic, Analytical and Physical), Water Quality and Air Quality Environmental Health and Industrial Safety Programme, School of Diagnostic Science and Allied Health at University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She has received her PhD degree in Organ Metallic Chemistry, M.Sc. (by thesis) in Synthetic Inorganic and Organ Metallic Chemistry from the University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2005 &, 1995 respectively. Her field of specialization includes synthetic inorganic and organometallic chemistry, air quality, water quality, instrumentation inorganic spectroscopic. Her research interest includes synthesis and characterisation of inorganic complexes as fundamental development in pharmaceutical. Dr. Normah Binti Awang is also pursuing Professional Membership i.e, Persatuan Sains Analisis Malaysia (ANALIS), member since 2008, Persatuan Mikrobiologi Malaysia, Persatuan Toksikologi Malaysia, Malaysian Society of Applied Biology. Dr. Normah BintI Awang received number of awards and honors includes Article Publication, Excellence-in-Service, Excellence in-Teaching and Research Award at university level. She also attended number of seminars, workshops and conferences. She published (48) articles in journals, (25) proceeding at national and international level, (1) book chapter, (4) articles in review, and (21) latest publication in research area. She supervised 54 students. 3 postgraduates students and 5 undergraduate students are currently in her supervision. She is also external examiner for 2 postgraduate students thesis and internal examiner for 25 undergraduate students thesis.
