Prof. Dr. Elin Yulinah Sukandar, Apt. is recognized as a lecturer and researcher at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia. She has got a professor in Pharmacology and Toxicology since 2001. She is now a head of laboratory of Pharmacology and a head of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy Research Group at ITB. She has an activity in National Committee of Drug Evaluation, National Agency of Food and Drug Control of Republic of Indonesia. She has been working on evaluation of safety and efficacy of herbal medicines and made collaboration with herbal industry . Her research’s work were done at Universitaet Zu Koeln, Germany 1976-1977, at Osaka University, Japan in 1981 and 1983, at Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK 1991 and in Indonesia. For research achievement, she has been awarded the best woman inventor of 2013 from Minister of Research and Technology of Republic of Indonesia, Habibie award of 2007 from the Habibie center, Professional certificationaward of 2009 from National agency for professional certification, Kalbe Science award from Kalbe Farma Industry in 2010, Intellectual Property Rights Award obtained from Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Republic of Indonesia in 2013, inventor from rector of ITB, Ganeca Innovation Championship Award from Alumni of ITB in 2015 and the newest award namely National Agency of Food and Drug Control awards of Indonesia February 2016. She has around 76 International publications ,70 publications in Indonesian journal, 19 books and 8 patents.
