Biography

Dr. Mohammod Abdul Hamid is presently working as Assistant Professor at School of Agriculture and Rural Development, Bangladesh Open University, Bangladesh. He has received his PhD in Animal Genetics from Breeding and Reproduction, College of Animal Science and Technology, China Agricultural University, Beijing, China and M.S in Animal Science from Bangladesh Agriculture University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Previously he was appointed as Production Officer at Aftab Bahumukhi Farms Limited, Bhagalpur, Bajitpur, Kishoregonj, Bangladesh, and Manager at International B.V. the Netherlands, Senior Scientific Officer at Lal Teer Livestock Limited, Anchor Tower, Bangladesh, and Lecturer at Open University, Bangladesh. His main area of research interest focuses on Animal Molecular Biotechnology, Animal Reproductive Biotechnology, Cattle and Buffalo Breed Improvement for higher milk and meat production. He is member of Bangladesh Livestock Society (BLS), Bangladesh, Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB), Bangladesh, World’s Poultry Science Association-Bangladesh Branch and Bangladesh Animal Husbandry Association. Dr. Hamid received honors includes Awarded 2nd prize in The 6th China Cooking Competition for international students, Beijing, China, Awarded Excellent Academic Research Scholarship, College of Animal Science and Technology, China Agricultural University, Beijing, China, and Awarded Leader of the year-2006 in Bengal Overseas Limited. Dr. Hamid has 6 publications in journals contributed as author/co-author. Further to his skills he has good knowledge on Molecular Biology Techniques and Modern Reproductive Biotechnology Techniques.
