Dr. Yogendra Kumar Gupta is currently working as Professor & Head in Department of Pharmacology, Chief Spokesperson, and Chief of National Poison Information Centre at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, National Scientific Coordinator at Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PVPI). He has completed his MBBS, and MD from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow. He is also serving as Chairman in Institutional Animal Ethics Committee, and Member of Institutional Human Ethics Committee. He also served as president of Indian Pharmacological Society, Society for Environmental Toxicological, Vice President of Society of Toxicology, India, Indian Pharmacological Society, and committee member of Indian Pharmacological Society, and Research Society of Anesthesiology and Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Yogendra received number of honors includes Excellence Award for Forensic Medicine from International conference of south Asian congress of Forensic Medicine, Forensic Science & Toxicology, G. Achari Oration Award from Indian Pharmacological Society, Best Research Award from Indian Pharmacological Society, AV Tilak Parvathy Devi Award from Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India, Science Academy Medal for Young Scientist from Indian National Science Academy and many others. He is also serving as member of several expert groups. Dr. Yogendra also worked as Visiting Professor at University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, USA, and B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal. He is member of editorial board and advisory board in journals such as International Journal of Biosciences & Technology, Journal of Ecophysiology & Occupational Health, Annals of Neurosciences, Indian Journal of Pharmacology and many others. He is also acting as reviewer for number of journals. Dr. Yogendra has published 124 research articles in international journals as well as 38 articles in national journals contributed as author/co-author.
