Biography

Mustafa Ahmed Almukhtar is an Assistant Professor at Basra University Marine science center. Mustafa Ahmed Almukhtar has more than 75 scientific papers and projects either presented or published. He is an regionally recognized expert in many areas of advanced Fish biology, Fisheries biology and Aquaculture. He is also unregularly lecturer at college of Agriculture, Dept. of fisheries graduated and under graduated studies, and National Symposiums throughout Iraq and regional countries. Assist. Prof. Mustafa Ahmed Almukhtar is the editorial secretariat of the Iraqi Journal of Aquaculture. Recent publications include a paper on the use Age and Growth of Hilsa Shad Tenualosa ilisha (Ham, 1822) based on the Scale Readings during the Spawning migration in to the Iraqi Inland waters. He has served as a member of various scientific societies and acted on a number of institutional committees including the world Aquaculture society and Asian Fisheries society. Assist. Prof. Mustafa Ahmed Almukhtar is recognized by his peers as a Scientific and fish farming expert that integrates new technologies into Aquaculture practice in Basra governorate.
