Biography

Dr Muneera Qassim Al-Mssallem. Assistant Professor in Clinical Nutrition, College of Agriculture & Food Sciences, King Faisal University, Al-Ahsa. She has received her PhD in Clinical Nutrition from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Surrey University, UK in 2011. Her research interests are in the glycaemic and insulinaemic indices of traditional foods and their content of bioactive compounds and the role of these foods in improving the health of patients with diabetes, obesity and protecting public health. She has published about 14 scientific papers in her main field in peer-reviewed international journals, and has co-authored 2 book chapters and translated 6 book chapters with Springer publisher.
