Dr. Anthony R. Scialli received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Albany Medical College and completed a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University Hospital. He took a fellowship in Reproductive Toxicology with Sergio Fabro, one of the original thalidomide researchers. Dr. Scialli was Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Residency Program Director at Georgetown University Medical Center for many years. He continues to be actively involved in medical education and teaches on a regular basis at academic medical centers in Washington, D.C. He founded and was Editor-in-Chief of the journal Reproductive Toxicology for 17 years and is a past president of the Teratology Society, and member of American Society for Reproductive Medicine, American College of Toxicology Society of Toxicology, European Teratology Society and Generally Recognized as Expert category. He is a specialist in Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology and in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also served many scientific and public communities. Dr. Scialli received honors includes Golden Apple Award for Clinical Teaching, American Medical Student Association, Clinical Faculty Teaching Award, Sergio E. Fabro Memorial Award for Teaching, and Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology National Faculty Award from Georgetown University. He also participated in more than 67 courses and 318 symposium and invited lectures. He is also serving as member of editorial board and reviewer for several journals. He has published 48 research articles in journals as well as 24 abstracts, 8 books, and write and review 100 book chapters contributed as author/co-author.
