Dr. Valeriia Starovoitova is currently working as Department Head in Applied Physics Department, Niowave, Inc., Lansing, MI. Previously she was appointed as Research Assistant Professor at Idaho State University and Project Leader of the radio-isotope research program at the Idaho Accelerator Center. She Graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with a Doctorate degree in Physics. Dr. Starovoitova joined Idaho State Universitys Physics Department as a Visiting Professor of Physics. In 2009 she was invited to help establish the radio-isotope research program and form an interdisciplinary medical isotope production group at the Idaho Accelerator Center. Since then she has been working as the group lead Physicist developing techniques for photo-nuclear production and separation of medical isotopes. She has published 18 research articles in journals and 26 conference presentations as author/co-author. She also completed number of funded research projects as principal investigator and co-investigator. She was received outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, American Association of Physics Teachers, Graduate Teacher Award at Center of Instructional Excellence, Lijuan Wang Memorial Award - for outstanding achievements in teaching and research from Purdue University. She also supervised 5 graduate students.
