Dr. Paul A. Solomon is currently working as Senior Research Scientist at US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Research and Development, National Exposure Research Laboratory, Las Vegas, NV. He has completed his Ph.D. in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry from University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, USA. Previously he was appointed as Technical and Research Assistant at University of Maryland, College Park, MD, Research Assistant and Research Associate at University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, Senior Environmental Scientist at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, San Ramon, CA, and Research Scientist at National Exposure Research Laboratory, Raleigh, NC. His area of research interest focuses on studies to elucidate source-receptor-exposure relationships and chemical and physical processes occurring in clean and polluted atmospheric environments and relating to gas and aerosol interactions, aerosol measurement and methods, ozone and oxides of nitrogen and their interrelationships, visibility effects, acid deposition, and air toxic species, understanding these issues is facilitated through planning and implementing regional field measurement and modeling programs and laboratory experiments with application of their results to developing cost effective and efficient emissions management practices for PM2.5, PMcoarse, PM10, ozone, and related pollutants. He has published 85 research articles in journals, 31 special journal issues and books, and 13 proceeding contributed as author/co-author. He also delivered number of presentations in scientific meeting. He also received number of honors such as Science and Technological Achievement Award, American Association for Aerosol Research, Loyal Service Award, Bronze Medal and Gold Medal for Exceptional Service, US EPA. He is professional member of American Association for Aerosol Research, American Chemical Society, American Geophysical Union, and Alpha Chi Sigma. He is also serving as reviewer for Atmospheric Environment, Journal of the Air and Waste Management Association, Aerosol Science and Technology, Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres, Environmental Science and Technology, and Chemical Industry & Chemical Engineering Quarterly.
