Dr. Xiaobing Zhou is currently working as Professor Department of Geophysical Engineering, Montana Tech of University of Montana. He has completed his Ph.D. in Geophysics from University of Alaska Fairbanks, Alaska, USA. His main area of research interest focuses on Remote Sensing and applications in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Environmental Geophysics (Gravity, magnetic, electrical, electromagnetic methods, and Geophysical Inversion). His employment history includes Research Associate Professor at Southwestern Institute of Physics, China, Visiting Scientist at University of California San Diego and University of Alaska Fairbanks, Research Assistant Professor at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor at Montana Tech of University of Montana, and Siyuan Visiting Professor at Nanjing University, China. He supervised 17 students projects. He also served as an Associate Editor for Journal of Applied Remote Sensing since 2013 and editorial board member for British Journal of Environment and Climate Change (since 2012), International Journal of Applied Environmental Sciences (since 2005), and Dataset Papers in Science (since 2011). He is member of American Geophysical Union, Society of Exploration Geophysics, Remote Sensing and Photogranunetry Society, and International Association of Hydrological Sciences.
