Dr. Mohan B. Dangi is currently working as Assistant Professor at Geography and City & Regional Planning, California State University (CSU), Fresno, USA. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Geography and Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, USA. Previously he served as Research Member and Teaching/Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, and Visiting Scientist/Engineer at University of Wyoming (UW), Laramie, WY, and Visiting Professor at University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY and Tribhuvan University (TU), Kirtipur, Nepal. Since his internship in National Renewable Energy Laboratory in 1998-99, he has consistently tackled environmental issues in Nepal, thus completing five projects, instigating five memoranda of understandings between the US and Nepalese Universities, and creating two engineering curricula. These tasks were funded by the Department of Energy, USAID, Environmental Research and Education Foundation, the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the National Institute of Health (NIH). His work in international involvement and academic excellence has earned him National Student of the Year Award from the Phi Beta Delta (U.S.) and Gold Medal (Nepal). Recently, he has been invited to present this work extensively across the United States, Nepal, Mexico, Denmark, France, and Norway. He successfully supervised 11 undergraduate students and 4 graduate students. He is professional member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers, American Water Works Association, Association of American Geographers, Association of Environmental Engineering & Science Professors, International Solid Waste Association, Solid Waste Association of North America, and Water Environment Federation. He is serving as member of editorial board in 2 journals and reviewer for 12 journals. His area of research and teaching interest focuses on Life Cycle Assessment of Green Waste, Municipal Solid Waste Management, Generation and characterization of Municipal Solid Waste, Statistical sampling and surveying of waste samples, Water and wastewater treatment, Curriculum development, Coalbed methane produced waters, Renewable energy, Multi-disciplinary approach to policy analysis, Familiarity with developing country environmental issues, and Field research skills Environmental impact assessment Environmental entrepreneurship Global Environmental change. He has published 6 research articles in refereed journals, 6 proceedings, 15 abstracts in proceedings, 4 technical reports, and 47 presentations contributed as author/co-author.
