Biography

Dr. Yehia Abdel Galele Mahmoud holds a position of Professor of Microbiology at Botany Department, Faculty of Science, Tanta University, Egypt. He has completed his PhD in Biochemistry from same University. Previously he was appointed as Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University, Associate Researcher at Kumamoto University, and Guest Researcher at Virginia Polytechnic and State University, USA. His research experience includes Fungi Identification, Enzyme and Protein Purification, Enzyme Kinetic Mechanism Elucidation, In vitro DNA transcription and PCR, Candida and Bacterial Transformation, Gene Cloning and Gene expression, Northern Blotting and Western Blotting, Dealing with Radioactive Isotopes, and Gene knock out from Candida Albicans. He is member of American Society for Microbiology, Egyptian Botanical Society, Botany Department, Cairo University, Egypt, Society of Applied Microbiology, Cairo, Egypt and Syndicate of Scientific Professions. He successfully supervised 11 MSc and 2 PhD students. He is associate editor for Advancement of Genetic Engineering Journal, USA, Journal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Journal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and member of editorial board in The Open Journal of Mycology, AL-BAHA University Journal for Basic and Applied Science. He has published 72 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author.
