Thirty-five years of teaching and academic experience in two major Arab universities (Alexandria University, Egypt and King Saud University, Saudi Arabia). Thirty-five years of experience in scientific research in the field of plant pathology and nematology, with research interest in: morphological and molecular identification of plant-parasitic nematodes especially, root-knot and cyst nematodes, host/pathogen (nematode) interactions, and management of plant-parasitic nematodes. Twenty years of experience in reviewing research articles and proposals, and fifteen years of experience in participating in the editorial boards of some scientific journals and publication committees. Experienced in working and cooperation with large scientific research programs and teams. Experienced in managing nematode problems in the large commercial scale production. Worked as a part-time consultant for the National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC), Saudi Arabia (2005-2008), and as a part time plant pathology consultant for Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, HIDA project (UTF/SAU/046/SAU), Al-Hassa, Saudi Arabia (2014-2015). Have a good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with researchers, plant breeders, growers and general public. Accomplished, eight refereed scientific books, seven book chapters, seven extension bulletins and more than 70 research articles. Awarded (with other two colleagues) the first rank award for the distinguished scientific research papers presented in The Second Symposium of The Saudi Society of Agricultural Sciences, held in the College of Food and Agricultural Sciences, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 22 to 24 February, 2005.
