Biography

She Is a Professor of Biological Anthropology in the Division of Medical Researches, National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. She received her MSc in Pediatrics from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, and her PhD in Environmental Science from the Department of Medical Sciences, The Institute of Environmental Studies, Ain- Shams University, Egypt. Most of her local and international publications (more than 35) relates to clinical nutrition, child growth and development related to child nutrition. Her current interest includes the field of obesity and its relationship with metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular diseases among children, adolescents and adults. She supervised many MSc , PhD and MD theses. She is an associate editor of Biannual Journal of Arab Society for Medical Research, JASMR.
She organized and trained a lot of training courses for doctors from Commonwealth and African countries . She is a member of the Training Unit –NRC, training committee in the NRC and also assistant supervisor of training Centre . Moreover she is a Head of the Conference, Seminar &Workshop Unit –NRC. She Organized a lot of International and local conferences and workshops. She was a secretary general of 3rd Africa Nutritional Epidemiology Conference" New Challenges and Innovative Tracts in Nutrition, Public Health and Human Development" October 13-16, 2008. She was an assistant supervisor of Science and Technology Center in the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology ASRT. She was a member the projects committee in the NRC and Member of the National committee of Genetics Engineering ,ASRT
