Biography

Dr. Hussein K. Hussein is currently working as Professor and Head of Zoology Department at University of Alexandria, Egypt. He completed his PhD in 1990 from University of Alexandria in Ecophysiology. His area of work includes Environmental Sciences, Toxicology, Ecology and Environmental pollution. His responsibilities include the Chairman of Zoology Department, University of Alexandria, Egypt from 2013. He is a member of many scientific societies such as Egyptian German Society of Zoology, Egyptian Society of Zoology, United Arab Biologists Society, Environmental Society of Saudi Arabia and Egyptian Society of Wild Life Protection. He has published more than 60 articles in international and national peer reviewed journals. He wrote a chapter “Biodiversity of reptiles in Egyptian deserts” in the book name Egyptian deserts in 2001. He is also serving more than 10 journals as Editor/Reviewer. So far, Professor Hussein has produced 21 PhD and more than 50 MSc Scholars. Now-a-days he is supervising another 9 PhD and 13 MSc students, respectively.
