Biography

Dr. Fatma M. El-Demerdash is currently working as Professor of Biochemistry Department of Environmental Studies Institute of Graduate Studies and Research Alexandria University Alexandria, Egypt. She obtained her Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. She also worked as Demonstrator, Assistant Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Alexandria University Egypt. She is member of Egyptian Universities Promotion Committees, and basic medical Sciences for Research Centers and Institutes Committees. She also received honor includes Prize of Alexandria University for Scientific Encouragement Prize of Alexandria University for Scientific Encouragement, and Prize of Academy of Science and Technology for Scientific Encouragement in Environmental Research and Awarded Marquis Whos Who in the World, in Science and Engineering, published in 24th, 25th, 26th Editions, 2006, 2007, 2008. She is also serving as peer reviewer in number of international journals. She is also member of editorial board in many journals. She is also organized international conferences. She also attended number workshops and conferences. Her area of research interest related to Biochemistry, Environmental Toxicology, Antioxidants and Oxidative Stress, Environmental Pollution, Environmental Health. She is member of many scientific societies such as African Association of Physiological Sciences AAPS Governing Council, American Physiological Society, USA, Egyptian Society of Toxicology, Cairo, Egypt, Egyptian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cairo, Egypt, Environment Friends Society, Alexandria, Egypt, Egyptian Physiological Society, Cairo, Egypt, Society of Environmental Toxins, Cairo, Egypt, club of Faculty of Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt, and Syndicate of Scientific Professions, Alexandria, Egypt. She supervised 7 PhD students 48 MSc students, and 25 diploma students. She has published 54 articles in journals as author/co-author.
