Biography

Dr. Riad Sedki Riad Ibrahiem El-Mohamedy is currently working as Professor at National Research Centre Egypt. He obtained his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from same Institute in 1998. He also completed 22 research projects as member of project team. He also actively participated in number of conferences. He is also working as member of Egyptian Phytopathology Society, Egyptian Society of Biological Control of Pests, Egyptian Microbiology Society, International Organization for Biotechnology and Bio Engineering (IOBB), Sweden, and Society for Developing Clean Farming Systems (Egypt). His research area focuses on Fungal Diseases of Vegetable, Fruit, and Ornamental and field Crop Plants, current research includes Diagnosis, Epidemiology, and Treatment Measures for control of Fungal Diseases, using Alternatives of Fungicides (soil amendments–biofumigations–safe chemicals –natural products –soil solarization ) for Controlling Plant Pathogens in Clean Cultivations, Identification of Plant Pathogenic Fungi and Biocontrol Techniques, also focuses on Molecular and Conventional Approaches of Fungal Soil Borne Plant Pathogens., Biological control of Plant Diseases, Induction of Resistance for Controlling Plant Diseases. He is also member of editorial board in number of journals. He is author and coauthor of 60 journal papers.
