Dr. Ahmed Hassan Mohamed Elshazly is currently working as Professor, Chairperson, Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering Department, Egypt Japan University of Science and Technology, Alexandria, Egypt. He obtained his M.Sc. and PhD in Chemical Engineering Department, Alexandria University, Egypt, at 1996 and 2001 respectively. He also worked as Demonstrator, Teaching Assistant, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Alexandria University, Egypt, Associate Professor and Professor at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, Adjunct Associate Professor at Arab Academy for Science and Technology, and Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) University, and Visiting Professor at Kyoto University and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Technical Research Institute of Finland, Helsinki, Finland. Dr. Elshazly participated in researches cover the area of Mass and Heat Transfer, Solid-liquid Mass transfer in both Agitated Vessels and Pulsated [reciprocated] Beds, Industrial Wastewater Treatment especially Removal and Recovery of Heavy Metals and Corrosion analysis and control, using new smart Coats and its application for Corrosion Prevention, CO2 capturing using activated Fly Ash, Desalination using Humidification Dehumidification Technique. He has participated in different research teams funded by different institutions such as King Abdulaziz city of science and technology (KACST) Saudi Arabia, Center of Excellence of desalination technology (CEDT) Saudi Arabia, Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies (CEES) Saudi Arabia, Dean of Scientific Research (DSR) king Abdulaziz University. He has 40 publications in journals as well as 4 papers in conferences and 2 books contributed as author/co-author. He also attended number of workshops and conferences. He is also supervising post graduate students for M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. He was received Alexandria University award for Scientific Encouragement, Second Place Award in the Competition Organized by Made in Egypt Organization, and First Award for Best Project at Chemical Engineering Project Day.
