Dr .Hatem A. Abdel-Aziz is currently working as Associate Professor of Synthetic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 2005. He also worked as Associate Professor, Lecturer Associate and Lecturer at National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt, and Assistance Professor at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His area of research related to Synthetic and Medicinal Organic Chemistry, The synthesis of new Heterocycles with Potent Biological Activities, The Regioselectivity and Reaction Mechanisms of Cycloaddition Reactions of Nitrilimines, The Stereoselectivite Synthesis of N2-Arylamidrazones, Synthesis and Reactivity of Enaminones, Carbohydrazides and Aroyacetonitriles. He is expertise in the using of Microwave Irradiation as a mean of Green Chemistry in the preparation of Heterocyclic Compounds (Microwave Reactor, Initiator-2.5, Biotage, Sweden and Microwave Reactor, Explorer-48, CEM, USA). He also supervised 4 MSc and 1 PhD student. He also received award of the Inventors of KSU by Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing Program, under the patronage of King Saud Universitys Rector. He is member of The Saudi Pharmaceutical Society (SPS), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, The Scientific Committee of Egyptian Second International Conference in Chemistry: Chemistry for Human Needs, 2009, Hurghada, Egypt, The Excellence Centre, NRC, Cairo, Egypt, The Egyptian Chemical Society (ECS), Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Cairo, Egypt, The Egyptian Syndicate of Scientific Profession, Cairo, Egypt, and The Society of Researcher Youth in National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. He is also serving as referee in number of international journals. He has published 134 articles in journals as well as 10 papers in conferences and 3 patents contributed as author/co-author.
