Dr. Mohamed Ismail Awad is currently working as Professor at of Physical Chemistry in Faculty of Science, Cairo University. He received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT), Japan in 2002 and M.Sc in Physical Chemistry from Cairo University 1999. His area of research interest related to Nanotechnology, Electro Analysis: Chemical Sensors, Potentiometry, Amperometry, Fuel Cells: Developments of Efficient Cathodes, Industrial Electrochemistry: Electro Generation of Potent Oxidants, Porous Electrodes, Environmental and Electrochemical Applications, Corrosion of Steel and Corrosion Inhibitors. He is member of Electrochemical Society Inc, USA, and Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Japan. He received Tejima Memorial Award for Invention, Tejima Seiichi Commemorative Foundation, 2004. Japan. He is also serving as peer reviewer of many journals. He has published 51 articles in journals as well as 33 presentations in conferences and 2 book chapter, and reviewer of 3 book chapters, and 2 patents contributed as author/co-author.
