Biography

Abdelkader Benyettou received his engineering degree in 1982 from the Institute of Telecommunications and the MSc/PhD in electrical engineering degrees in 1986/1993 from the University of Sciences and Technology of Oran-USTO, Algeria. From 1987-1991, he joined the Computer Sciences Research Center of Nancy, France, and prepared his PhD thesis on Arabic speech recognition by expert systems (ARABEX). From 1988-1990, he was an assistant Professor in the department of Computer Sciences, Metz University, and Nancy-I University. He founded and was researcher director of the Signal-Speech-Image– SIMPA laboratory, department of computer sciences, USTOran, since 2002 to 2018. He is actually a full professor since 2002 at Computer Science Department, Institute of Science and Technology, University Center of Relizane, Algeria, and thesis director of more than 35 PhDs supported in Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence. He published approximately 160 papers in refereed conferences or journals or as contributions in books. His research interests are in the area of speech/image processing, Arabic speech recognition, neural networks, machine learning, artificial immune system, bio-inspired computing, deeplearning and AIOps.
