Biography

Dr. Hatem Mhenni is currently working as Professor of Economics at the High School of Commerce of Tunis, University of la Manouba, Tunisia and Polytechnic School of Tunis. He obtained his PhD degree from University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, France, in 1994. He is professional member of following societies, Faculty member in the ASTII Program of NEPAD, African Union, Advisory Steering Committee (ASC) of the Center for Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (CESTII) in South Africa, Technical Group of the African Observatory of Science, Technology and Innovation, Scientific Committee of the High School of Commerce of Tunis, Scientific Committee of the Tunisian Institute of the Competitiveness and Quantitative Studies. In past he worked as Lecturer/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in various institutions. He was the Principal Councilor of the Tunisian Minister of scientific research and technology in matter of S&T planning (June 2004-January 2007) and the Former General Manager of the Tunisian National Observatory of Sciences and Technology (January 2007-March 2009) and participates in the implementation of the same type of structures in Euro-Mediterranean countries like Egypt and Jordan. He has also served as Consultant, Faculty Member or Scientific Advisor to several international institutions. He has published 19 articles in journals as author/co-author.
