Biography

Mr. Lawrence Gyansah is currently working as Associate Professor at William V.S. Tubman University, Maryland County, College of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Department, Republic of Liberia, West Africa. He obtained his M.Phil. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Mines and Technology, (UMaT) Tarkwa, Ghana. He is member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Association of Engineering Doctorates, National Society of Black Engineers, International Research and Development Institute, and member of Live DNA-Group of Qualified Professionals. In past he worked as National Service-Teaching Assistant (T.A), Demonstrator, and Assistant Lecturer at University of Mines and Technology, Ghana, Part Time Lecturer and at Regional Maritime University, Accra, Ghana, Supervisor, JAGOKS Engineering & Trading Ltd, Ghana, and Manager at Possitron Engineering Services Ltd, Ghana, and Assistant Professor at University of Liberia. His main area of interest related to Fatigue Analysis of Structures (Including Detection of Crack Initiations and Crack Propagation, Stopping Fatigue, Design against Fatigue, Fracture Control Plan, Multi-Axial Loading of Fatigue of Metals, Corrosion Fatigue, Fatigue Crack Growth Modelling, Fractography Analysis. Microscopic Analysis of Materials. Life Predictions of Metallic Structures, Fatigue of Welded Structures. Fatigue of Wooden Structures, Fracture Mechanics and Micromechanics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics Systems, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Design and Simulations of Mechanical systems using FEM, Power Systems analysis and Vibration Analysis in Mechanical Systems, Energy Systems Analysis, Computer Programming etc. He has 16 publications in journals and 8 papers in conferences and seminars. He is also member of many committees.
