Dr. Adzitey Frederick is currently working as Lecturer at University of Development Studies, Animal Science Department, Nyankpala, Tamale, Ghana, Africa. His responsibilities as Lecturer are delivering lectures, supervising students thesis and designing/organizing researches. He obtained his PhD in Food Safety from University Sains Malaysia, MSc in Meat Science and Technology from University of Bristol. His topic of PhD thesis is “Prevalence, antibiotic resistance and genetic diversity of Campylobacter species, Salmonella serovars and Listeria monocytogenes isolated from ducks, their rearing and processing environments in Penang, Malaysia”. His area of interest includes animal science; meat processing and technology; isolation, characterization and control of foodborne/waterborne pathogens; antibiotic resistance of foodborne/waterborne pathogens. His experience includes Assistant Lecturer at University of Development Studies, Graduate Research Assistant at the University Sains Malaysia, and Consultant at TAGAD Company. Dr. Adzitey Frederick is professional member of Ghana Young Academy, Ghana Animal Science Association, Ghana Society of Animal Production, Society for Applied Microbiology, and International Association for Food Protection. He published 112 articles in national and international journals and 1 book as co-author. He has also attended and made presentations at both national and international conferences.
