Biography

Emeka Daniel Oruonye is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science in the Department of Geography, Taraba State University Jalingo. He obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Doctorate degree from the University of Maiduguri. He was the author of the books Geographical Aspects of Yobe State, Climate Change Perception Among Rural Farmers in Taraba State Nigeria and co-author of History, Culture, and Tourism Potentials of Yobe State, Socio-economic and Ecological Impact of Resettlement Scheme along the Lake Chad Region of Nigeria, and the Geography of Taraba State Nigeria. He has also published many journal articles in local and international journals. He is a member of many professional bodies including the Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG), Association of American Geographers (AAG) and African Forest Forum (AFF). His specialization is development geography with interest in rural and agricultural development
