Biography

Kaana Asemave works with the Department of Chemistry, Benue State University, Makurdi-Nigeria since 2009. He has carried out inter- and intradisciplinary research works in Chemistry; such as metal ions analyses in different environmental samples, amino acid complexation with metal ions and allied applications, sustainable ways in postharvest management of farm produce among others. Most recently he has been keen in Green and Sustainable Chemistry. That has led to his development of bio-derived lipophilic metal ions chelators. Thus he is inclined to bio-derived and sustainable chemicals for sustainable development. He bagged his B.Sc. (2006) Chemistry from University of Maiduguri-Nigeria; M.Sc. (2012) Inorganic Chemistry from Benue State University, Makurdi-Nigeria; and PhD (2016) Green Chemistry from University of York, UK. I have over 40 publications. Also am married with 3 kids
