Dr. Damilola A. Omoboyowa is a senior lecturer and researcher at the Department of Biochemistry, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria. He lectures and supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate students and seeks collaboration with national and international scientist. His field of research is natural products and health (Phyto-medicine)/computational Biology, He has successfully supervised over 50 honours’ projects and 3 M.sc dissertation, Co-supervised 2 M.sc dissertation at Brandenburg University of Technology and Universitat Duisburg-Essen both in Germany, currently co-supervising 2 PhD thesis.
Dr. Omoboyowa has published 52 scientific articles in peer-reviewed Scopus index Journals, 28 of his publications are index in web of science and presented 5 scientific papers at national and international conferences. He reviewed manuscripts for Springer and Elsevier indexed scientific Journals. He holds a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Biochemistry with specialty in pharmacological Biochemistry from University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biochemistry from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. He won the ICCBS-TWAS postdoctoral fellowship to the International center for Biological and Chemical Sciences, University of Karachi, Pakistan in 2020.
Dr. Omoboyowa is currently holding visiting scientist position at International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Regional Research Center; Taizhou, Jiangsu PR. China under the ICGEB-DIC-MOST International fellowship program. He was formerly on lecturer 1 cadre (Biochemistry) at Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Ebonyi State, Nigeria; Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Nigeria. He is a member of Society for medicinal plants and natural product research, Germany; Society for Experimental Biology of Nigeria and Nigerian society for Biochemistry and molecular biology.
