Dr. Olanrewaju A. Nurudeen, born in 1979, is a Lecturer I and Deputy Provost (Head of Academic Programmes), at the Federal College of Freshwater Fisheries Technology, Baga, Nigeria. He studied fisheries and wildlife at Federal University of Technology Akure, aquaculture and fisheries management at the University of Ibadan where he received his Ph.D. in 2017. His thesis entitled ‘Bionomics and Biochemical composition of Parachanna obscura Gunther 1861, in Eleyele Reservoir, Ibadan, Nigeria’. He has over 10 years of teaching, research and development experience in fisheries technology and has authored and coauthored over 40 articles in peer reviewed local and international journals with 15 papers in conference proceedings. He teaches Aquatic Ecology, Fisheries Management, Ichthyology and Hyrobiology, and other courses in aquaculture. He has mentored twenty ND and five HND students to completion since 2009. Research interests focus on the development of some selected native freshwater fish species for culture and artificial propagation under control environment. He is a Professional member of Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON), and currently serves as Secretary to the Committee on Fisheries Curriculum and Training of the Association of Nigerian Fisheries Scientists (ANIFS).
