A result-driven and determined fellow who understands organizational goals. I'm highly enthusiastic about new opportunities as it provides me the platform to learn and also apply my experience.
David obtained his First Degree from the University of Uyo where he passed at First Class Honours alongside several honours. Currently, I'm volunteering as a Research Assistant in the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Environmental Management, University of Uyo with research interest in fish nutrition, fisheries management, aquatic ecology and aquatic toxicology and have co-authored over 20 publications (journal articles, book chapter and a monograph). Previously, I interned as a Graduate Research Assistant and an Administrative Assistant in the same Department where I enhanced my interpersonal, organizational, leadership, tutorial and research skills.
I am a keen lover of the environment and all it stands for. My dream is to witness an African continent self sufficient in aquatic products through sustainable aquaculture through low cost quality fish feed while ensuring the adequate protection of life below water via conservation, management and sustainable exploitation of aquatic resources as well as ameliorating aquatic environmental pollution (plastic/microplastic pollution, oil spillage, ghost fishing, etc.).
David is an astute leader whose leadership philosophy is simply “leaving a lasting legacy in the people you build viz-a-viz making them independent leaders”. He is very interested in the affairs of developing people and team building which is the essence of leadership.
I have won international scholarship awards including the Commonwealth Master's Scholarship, Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship and the University of Portsmouth Chancellor's Global Academic Merit Scholarship.
