Victor Adolf Fischer is an Associate Professor of Anatomy with research areas in reproductive biology and neuroendocrinology. He also has interest in museum and mortuary science. He has been teaching anatomy since 2001 with Department of Anatomical Sciences, University of Calabar, Calabar and was promoted as Associate Professor in 2017. He serves as adjunct Associate Professor of anatomy, Cross River University of Science & Technology, Okuku and Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo. He is a Consultant on mortuary services and served as a Deputy Program Co-ordinator, Gheda Initiative formally Cares Initiative (Non Governmental Organization). He had his B.Sc. (1997) University of Calabar, M.Sc.(2004) Abia State University, Uturu and Ph.D (2011) Delta State University, Abraka.
He has served as Dean and SubDean/Examination Officer of Faculty, Head of Department, Departmental Examination Officer and member of several committees at departmental and faculty level. He served as President, IBRO Teaching Tools Workshop (2017), Entebbe. He has supervised and co-supervised many postgraduate candidates in anatomy and participated in several conferences and research courses. He is a member of Society of Neuroscientists of Africa (SONA), Anatomical Society of Nigeria (ASN), Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN) and Society of Experimental & Clinical Anatomists of Nigeria (SECAN). He has produced about forty research papers which have been published both in national and international Journals.
